Got Questions?
We have answers.
What is ceremonial‑grade matcha?
Ceremonial‑grade matcha is the highest quality, made from young tea leaves stone‑ground into a fine powder. It has a vibrant green color, smooth umami flavor, and is traditionally whisked with water – no sweetener needed. At Matcha Mori, we source ours from Uji, Kyoto.
Do you offer dairy‑free / vegan options?
Absolutely. Our matcha lattes can be made with oat, almond, or soy milk. Many of our desserts are vegan‑friendly (ask our staff for recommendations). We also use organic honey that can be substituted with agave upon request.
How do I make a reservation?
You can book a table directly through our website’s reservation form, or give us a call at +81 3-0000-0000. For groups larger than 8, please contact us at least 48 hours in advance.
Do you host private events or workshops?
Yes! We regularly hold matcha workshops, tea ceremonies, and live music evenings. Check our Events page for upcoming dates. For private bookings (birthdays, corporate events), please email us at events@matchamori.jp.
Is your matcha gluten‑free?
Pure matcha powder is naturally gluten‑free. However, some of our baked goods contain wheat. We clearly label allergens on the menu – please let our staff know about any dietary restrictions.
Can I buy matcha powder to take home?
Yes, we sell 30g tins of our ceremonial‑grade matcha (Uji origin) and a culinary‑grade blend for cooking. Just ask at the counter or order online (coming soon).
What is your cancellation policy?
For table reservations, we kindly ask that you cancel at least 2 hours in advance. For workshops and events, cancellations made more than 48 hours before are fully refundable; within 48 hours we may charge a 50% fee. See our Terms for details.
Do you have Wi‑Fi?
Yes, we offer free Wi‑Fi for guests. The network name is displayed in the café. However, we encourage you to take a mindful break from screens while enjoying your tea!
